How to keep your hair healthy while wearing a wig

Wigs are becoming increasingly popular because they allow you to change your hairstyle without spending time and money in the salon. While wigs are a great versatile option, it's still important to know how to prevent your own hair from damage when wearing them. Here are some important steps to keep your hair healthy:

1. Massage your Scalp. When wearing a lace wig, the scalp receives less blood flow because it is usually connected to the head. Massage the scalp to promote blood circulation. This is especially true for those who wear wigs and wait for their hair to regenerate.

2. Don't wear a wig for too long without taking off. When you first wear a transparent lace wig, it looks good and you want to wear it all the time, but it's not a good idea. In fact, it is recommended that you remove the transparent lace wig before going to bed, if you want to pay more attention to your hair and extend the life of the wig, this is a very good idea. While you sleep, your natural hair will get some time to relax and no wig is necessary.

3. Wash your hair regularly. Keeping your scalp clean is a great way to ensure that your hair follicles are healthy, active, and easier to grow. Wearing a lace wig all day will cover your scalp, leaving room for sweat and dirt to build up faster. This can give your hair a strange smell and cause it to tangle, which can lead to breakage. Shampoo and conditioner will be your best friend throughout the whole process.

4.  Wearing a wig cap. A wig cap is a good way to protect your hair. Although caps are optional, they act as a protective barrier between the wig and your hair, and they hold the hair well under the wig. This is a cheap and effective way to protect your hair.

5. Trim your hair regularly. Unfortunately, split ends are real, and although our hair is wrapped under a wig, we need to cut off the ends to prevent further damage while protecting our hairstyle. By trimming those annoying, unhealthy split ends, your hair will fall out less and there will be less hair flying around, helping your hair to be thicker and healthier.

6. Don’t forget to moisturize your hair. Even the hair it's hidden under a wig, if your hair is dry, it will break. Use a conditioner and moisturizer to lock in moisture, enhance vitality and promote hair growth.
